Matthias Hansen joined the R&L group in 1992 as Assistant to the Board. In 1993 he relocated to R&L Argentina holding the position of Managing Director. In 1998 he returned to R&L Headquarters becoming Sales Manager Latin America / Europe. In 2002 he was appointed Regional Director Latin America / Europe being also in charge of the strategic alliance with the Geodis group (TGA – The Global Alliance). In 2004 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer and in 2005 he became Managing Director of the group. He holds a degree (Dipl.-Betriebswirt) in Business Administration (Hamburger Modell) from the Academy of Business Administration, Hamburg / Germany.
