Qatar will play an increasing economic role wihin the region
Rohde & Liesenfeld in Qatar
Following the ever increasing demand for global logistics and project coordination services of Rohde & Liesenfeld's (R&L) existing customers and Partners, the company established it's first own business unit in the Middle East in Dubai/U.A.E in 1995 as a commercial delegation office, acting as regional office for the GCC.
Subsequent research and frequent marketing activities resulted into the defining of the State of Qatar as a strategic area for R&L's further development in the Middle East. Qatar was then and still is considered as being one of the fastest growing countries within the GCC, not only on the back of huge natural gas resources, but also in view of hosting the Asian Games in 2006, which will move Qatar into the focus of global attention.
The Emir H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa AI-Thani, who took over the reigns of power an the 27th of June 1995, is considered a highly competent politician and a great contributor to the enrichment of international and regional political practice. The manifestations of that contribution are reflected in the tremendous developments in the civil, commercial and industrial sector that provide plenty of opportunities for a global logistics player of a high quality, such as R&L.
The most significant step for R&L in Qatar was the award of a three year contract by the state owned Qatar Petroleum ( QP ) responsible for all oil and gas industry processes in Qatar and abroad, including exploration and drilling for oil, natural gas and other hydrocarbon substances, production, refining, transport, storage as well as trading, distribution, sale and export of these substances.
We are proud to be associated with Qatar Petroleum and many of it's affiliated companies and joint ventures, providing complete purchase order management and transport logistics services and look forward to continuing with our contribution towards the further enhancing and supporting of the country's national economy.
In our opinion Qatar will play an increasing economic role within the region, as it gradually develops to assume a hub function for neighbouring countries due to it's well developed infrastructure and political stability as well as the safe environment for its people and expatriate workforce.
R&L, operating in Doha under the management of Mr. Philipp Luehrs, with an industry unsurpassed staff compliment of five well trained and internationally experienced, european logistics experts, strengthened by a further team of multinational staff members strikes to become the leading freight forwarding and project logistics company in Qatar.
We are extremely committed to our existing and potential customers in Qatar and the Qatari people in general. We desire to continue to deliver our highest level of expertise to the country in its quest for further economic growth and the developing of international relationships.
We would welcome you contacting us, interested in the services of an organization big enough to handle big business and small enough to care.
